KiCad Tools
A Blender extension that includes tools for importing and rendering KiCad PCBs. KiCad Tools is designed to streamline the process of creating photorealistic renders of KiCad projects.
Importing
KiCad Tools allows one-click importing of KiCad VRML files. The extension creates named objects for each PCB layer. For easier editing, components are automatically combined into a single object.
Rendering
KiCad Tools can automatically create physically correct geometry for many PCB layers. This geometry is created non-destructively with the use of modifiers. This process fixes many issues often seen in 3D files exported from KiCad.
Give It a Go
KiCad Tools is free and easy to install. The source code and documentation are available on GitHub. The extension is compatible with Blender 3.2 and later.
